Summer Sew-in Camps

Ready! Set! Sew!

  • Summer Sew-In Camps are for ages 9-18.
  • Sewing Day Camp; campers meet 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Camps begin June each summer. Sign your kids up to come to camp for a fun day of making wonderful projects and learning valuable sewing skills.
  • Summer Sew-in Day Camp offers a more comprehensive day of sewing for returning students. We play sewing games which teach students sewing terms, parts of the machine, sewing room safety and much more. Students will be sewing for one full day (6 hours).
  • New students must attend a workshop before they can sign up for a Summer Day Camp. Please see One-Day workshop page for information and dates.
  • After students finish the First Four projects they will have their choice of projects from a project list in class. Supply sheets are divided according to skill level and will be given out to each student according to her/his specific needs. Each project will have a description attached so you will know exactly what skills your child will be taught while she/he assembles their projects.

  • Machines and basic supplies will be available for your child’s use.
  • I will provide projects for the first day of classes and supply sheets for student projects for the week.
  • Plan on a shopping trip to the fabric store before class. It is important for your child to go with you as part of his/her learning experience.
  • I will also provide a healthy snack mid-way through our morning every day. Students may bring a bottle of water with a tight lid; however, sodas are not permitted in the sewing room.
  • Gifts and prizes are given on the last day of camp.
  • Registration fee is a non-refundable registration fee of $85 and is due at the time of registration in order to reserve your child’s place in camp. This is the full amount, $85 tuition for a one day session. This registration fee is not transferable to change camp dates or be applied to other sewing classes if student is unable to attend. {This price is subject to change if the cost of operation changes.}
  • Registration deadline for summer 2012 camps: session 1: June 6, session 2: June 13, session 3: June 20, session 4: June 27, session 5: July 4, session 6: July 11.
