Children’s Class Policies

After School Classes and Sew-in Camp Policies

  • Payment and Refunds:
  1. Year-round (after school) Kids’ Classes: are payable on the fifteenth of each month prior to the month of classes. Cost is $40 per month. If necessary, please mail payments so that I receive them on time. A statement will be mailed after the fifteeth of the month to those whose payments have not been received. An additional $5.00 late fee will be added to the statement. Please make checks payable to Seams Sew Easy.
  2. An annual machine maintenance fee of $10.00 is due at time of registration. Registration for new students requires advance payment for the 1st month of sewing. The registration fee is the $50 deposit which is due at the time of registration and is non-refundable. No refunds are available for missed classes.
  3. Unprepared students who arrive for class without all supplies for their project and have to be supplied from my personal stock of notions and/or fabrics will be charged for the cost of the notions/fabric. This charge will appear on the following month’s statement.
  4. READY, SET, SEW! Kids Summer Sew-in Camps: a non-refundable deposit of $100 paid upon registration and balance of $75 is due 2 weeks before session starts; unpaid students will be placed on the wait list and will be given second priority. No refunds available. A partial refund is only considered if it is for unexpected relocation.
  • Promptness and Absences:
  1. Classes will begin and end on time. Students may not stay late in order finish up a project. The student will need to finish up the next class time. Special arrangements need to be made in advance if a student needs to leave early or stay later. Please plan ahead.
  2. Care for your children before and after class is not available. Seams Sew Easy will not be held responsible for your child if you drop them off early/pick them up late. Thanks for understanding!
  • Make-Up Classes and Schedule Changes:
  1. Make up classes are not available. If a schedule change is necessary due to the instructor’s illness or unexpected family needs, an alternate date will be given. I thank you in advance for your willingness to be flexible if needed.
  • Cancellations:
  1. Year-round Kids’ Classes: 2 weeks notice is required for any cancellations so kids on a wait list may be contacted to fill the opening. Failure to give 2 weeks notice will result in a $40 tuition charge for the following month.
  2. Kids Workshops & Summer Camps: A 2 week notice is required for any cancellations so kids on a wait list may be contacted to fill the opening.
